Privacy
What happens to a file you convert, what we keep, and for how long. Written to match what the product actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.
Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer
This describes how the product is built to behave and is written to be accurate rather than complete. It is not legal advice and it has not been checked against the law of any particular country. Company details, the governing jurisdiction and the data-protection contact all still need filling in before launch.
01The short version
Most of what happens here happens on your own computer. The image editor, the PDF editor, the video editor and the collage maker all run entirely in your browser — the file is opened, changed and saved without ever being sent anywhere.
Conversions that need a server are sent, converted and deleted. We do not keep them, we do not look at them, and we do not use them to train anything.
02Files you convert
Tools that never upload. The editors listed above read your file with the browser’s own file API and write the result back to your downloads folder. Nothing is transmitted. You can confirm this by opening your browser’s network panel while you work — there is no upload to see.
Conversions that do upload. Format conversion and compression need software that cannot run in a browser, so the file is sent to a server, converted, and returned as a download.
That copy is deleted once your download completes. If you never download, it is deleted automatically after the retention window on your account — by default twenty-four hours, and you can set it to delete immediately in Privacy & data. Deleted means removed from storage, not hidden.
We do not open, inspect, index or read the contents of your files, and we do not use them as training data for machine learning of any kind — including the AI tools on this site.
03Account information
You do not need an account to convert a file. If you make one, we store the name and email address you give us, your plan, and a record of the conversions you have run so they appear in your history.
Conversion history records the formats, the file name, the size and the time. It is a record about a conversion, not a copy of the file.
04Payment
Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers. We receive the plan you bought, when it renews, and the last four digits of the card so you can tell which one it is. We cannot charge a card we do not hold.
05Analytics and cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. These are necessary for the site to work and cannot be turned off without breaking it.
Usage analytics — which pages are visited and which conversions are run — is optional and controlled by the toggle in Privacy & data. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not share anything with data brokers.
07Your rights over your data
You can export everything we hold about you, delete every file we are holding, and delete your account outright — all from Privacy & data, without asking us.
Deleting your account removes your profile, your history and any stored files. Invoices are kept where tax law requires it, and nothing else survives.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to correct your data, object to how it is processed, or complain to a data protection authority. Those rights apply whether or not they are listed here.
08Children
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
09Changes to this policy
If this changes in a way that affects what happens to your files or your data, we will say so on the site before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
10Contact
For anything about this policy or a request about your data, write to us through support.
The registered company name and address, the data controller, the appointed representative where one is required, and the supervisory authority all need to be stated here before this policy is published.
